Have you been experiencing problems with your “L series” Woodward Governor?
Wallace Power Services Ltd. have successfully retrofitted a GAC governor set up to the Delphi DPG range fuel injection pump on two Perkins 1104 engines fitted in XD60 FG Wilson generators. The close proximity of the cylinder head to the fuel injection pump, plus injector pump gear timing issues when removing the injector pump for a retrofit means this is not a straightforward job. We fitted these new electronic governors in our workshop for a client who uses his machines as a synched pair for live events, with cost and reliability being the most important factors in his choice of GAC equipment. Both machines were thoroughly load and function tested before being dispatched straight to site for their first job.
The beauty of this new set-up is that you no longer need a laptop with the correct software to change any parameters on the governor, any adjustments can now be made ,on site, to allow frequency changes,synchronising or simply UPS compatability.
